Frustrated by the lack of affordable, quality homewares in Australia, Louise Bell launched Table Tonic, an online homewares store in 2008. She had just been made redundant after an epic 12 year career as a Creative Director in the magazine industry, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Fast forward 9 years, and Table Tonic now proudly boasts an ever-expanding selection of handmade, vintage and fair trade pieces, including textiles, soft furnishings, fashion and accessories.

and India in Louise's home, on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Louise's "graphic designer eye" constantly draws her to creative, quirky and unusual new products, sourced from far-flung corners of the globe; Afghanistan, Turkey, Morocco, India, Africa, Tunisia, Mexico and Italy (as well as Australia), with an ever-present emphasis on both quality and affordability.

When Louise started Table Tonic, the hottest international interior design and decorating trends only trickled down as far as the high-end retail outlets and decor magazines in Australia. There was simply no way for the middle income earner to achieve a current, on-trend aesthetic in their home. They had no choice but to admire from afar - through the pages in a magazine, in a shop window, or on one of several international online stores (who didn’t ship to Australia). And so, Table Tonic was born.
Welcome. And thanks for stopping by!
